2006/42/AT Machinery Safety Directive

Directive published as 2006/42/EC Machinery Safety Directive was published and carried into effect as 2006/42/AT Machinery Safety Directive by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. Provisions and rules relating to the required CE certification of the machinery both before it is introduced to the market in the producer country and during exportation to member states of the European Union have been defined in the directive. 

2006/42/AT Machinery Safety Directive covers machinery, replaceable equipment, safety accessories, lifting accessories, chains, ropes and straps, detachable mechanical transfer installations, partly completed machinery. 

A label bearing the CE mark must be present in each machinery included in the scope of this directive. The CE mark is placed on the machinery or its label in a legible and indelible manner if all these security and health requirements are fulfilled on the basis of directives. 

The producing company can easily sell a product introduced into the market with a CE certificate both in the domestic and international markets. The CE certificate/sign which is considered as the passport of the product in especially in the European countries is very important for the firm.
